Yes. SS Systems is based in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, and provides fire and security system installation and maintenance services across the UK. The company works with commercial, industrial, educational and heritage properties, offering solutions designed around the needs of different buildings and operating environments.

The right systems depend on your building’s size, layout, use, occupancy, security risks and fire safety requirements. SS Systems offers site surveys to assess these factors and recommend suitable solutions. This may involve fire detection, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms or a combination of systems. The aim is to provide effective protection suited to your premises rather than a one-size-fits-all installation.

Yes. SS Systems designs, installs and maintains commercial fire alarm systems, including conventional, addressable and wireless options. The appropriate system is selected according to the building’s layout, use and fire safety requirements. Ongoing servicing helps identify faults, maintain reliable operation and support compliance with relevant standards.

Commercial CCTV helps businesses monitor premises, investigate incidents and deter theft or vandalism. Access control systems manage who can enter specific buildings or areas, using methods such as cards, tokens or PINs. Depending on the equipment and requirements, CCTV and access control can also be integrated to provide a more coordinated security solution.

Most non-domestic premises are subject to fire safety legislation requiring a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment. The responsible person, which may be an employer, owner, landlord or another person with control of the premises, must ensure fire risks are assessed and appropriate precautions are taken. SS Systems provides professional fire risk assessments, with written findings and practical recommendations to help businesses manage their fire safety responsibilities.

Yes. SS Systems can take over the servicing and maintenance of most existing fire and security systems, even where the original installation was completed by another provider. Engineers assess the equipment and its condition before recommending an appropriate maintenance arrangement. This can help businesses bring several systems under one service provider and simplify ongoing inspections, repairs and record-keeping.

Servicing frequency depends on the type of system, applicable British Standards, the building’s risk profile and any insurance requirements. Fire alarms, emergency lighting, CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems can have different inspection and maintenance needs. SS Systems provides planned maintenance schedules tailored to the equipment and premises, helping customers keep systems operational and maintain appropriate servicing records.

Yes. SS Systems offers combined maintenance arrangements covering multiple fire and security systems. Its multi-disciplined engineers can often service different systems during the same visit, helping reduce disruption and the need to coordinate separate contractors. Maintenance customers also have access to an online portal containing service reports, certificates, maintenance records and outstanding recommendations.

Contact SS Systems to discuss your building, existing equipment and fire or security requirements. The team can arrange a site survey, assess your needs and recommend suitable installation, upgrade or maintenance options. SS Systems advertises free site surveys, design and quotations.
