That’s what they say isn’t it?
As we all know, business never stands still and this month brings with it yet another round of changes for SS Systems’ team.
We are conscious that we always need to look at ways to make our processes smoother and improve the way in which we move jobs through the business. Our engineers have fed a few ideas back to the office and, as they’re the ones on the job, we’ve listened to what they have to say.
To that end we have taken on a new project designer who comes with years of experience in the fire industry. Colin Jones is working alongside the sales team, producing designs, estimates, quotations and specifications.
His technical and product knowledge, and commercial experience, will enable us to standardise the information we pass on to both clients and engineers.
Welcome on board Colin!
As the MD I have been aware that as the company grows, the demands on my time increase and make it more difficult to get everything done. When a company is expanding quickly, like SS Systems is, it needs a team of people who can help drive and manage change.
I’m pleased to say that our FD, Michelle Reynolds, has accepted a full-time role with the business as our commercial director. She’ll be working alongside me to manage that change and help take this company to where I know it can go, in addition to her current role of managing finance and marketing.
That’s it for this month. Thanks to all the team who work very hard to make SS Systems great.
