SS Systems is a Fire and Security Company based in South Yorkshire. We install and maintain Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV and ancillary systems throughout the country. Your basic working week is 40 hours. Although we are based in South Yorkshire, we have high profile clients all over the country and you will be expected to work away on occasion. In return for your hard work we’ll supply all the normal things you would expect:
- Van (can be used privately, although we’ll ask for a contribution from you for this)

Responsibilities
- Conducting installations and commissioning of Fire and Security systems to the required British Standard, on time and on budget.
- Conducting alterations to the required British Standard, on time and on budget. Alterations will consist of additions to systems, repairs to systems and investigations to systems.
- Conducting maintenance of Fire and Security systems to the required British Standard
- Conducting fault fining of Fire and Security systems,
- Help to manage & exceed client expectations
- Provide accurate, regular reports to your manager on the progress of the work
- Manage other contractors and junior colleagues on site where appropriate
- Health & Safety of yourself and others
- Where appropriate provide the correct completed certification accurately and on time.
- We are looking for your help in reducing repeated callouts and so will expect you to achieve a first-time fix rate of 90%
- We expect you to be aware of and comply with the BS standards for servicing of systems.
- Ensure your van stock level is adequate for our customer base and their requirements.
- Use PDA as expected and in real time
Person Specification
To be successful you will have the following abilities or qualifications:
- Experience in the Maintenance and Repair of Fire and Security Systems (particularly Fire)
- Experience with the following systems preferred but not essential
- EMS, Kentec, Advanced and Notifier
- Galaxy and Texecom Intruder systems
- Paxton/BPT/ Videx Access control
- Hikvision and Dahau CCTV
- Aspirator Systems – VESDA, Airsense etc
- Commercial awareness
- Good time management
- Good time keeping
- Good organisational skills
- Good communication skills
- Hard Working
- Friendly
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
