We’re Hiring A Field Sales Consultant

SS Systems are a Fire & Security Company based in South Yorkshire. We install and maintain Fire Alarms, Intruder Alarms, Access Control, CCTV and ancillary systems throughout the country. We are known for specialising in wire free fire alarms.

Although we’re based in South Yorkshire, we have high profile clients all over the country and we’re eager to expand our business. You will play a key part in this.

Your Role

To meet and surpass the Company’s expectations of rapid and sustainable growth by surveying, designing and estimating fire and security install projects and maintenance contracts.


  • Conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media
  • Set up meetings with potential clients
  • Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products/ services
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships in order to maximise sales potential
  • Create frequent reviews and reports with sales and financial data and report back in the regular monthly sales meetings
  • Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences
  • Negotiate/close deals and handle complaints or objections
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve better results

You will work closely with other members of our sales, estimating and administration teams and will report to your line manager.

Person Specification

To be successful you will have the following abilities:

  • You will have a thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements for the industry
  • Experience with our software platform CASH is preferred but not essential
  • Commercial awareness
  • Efficient time management
  • Good time keeping
  • Great organisational skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Hard Working
  • Friendly
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Target driven

£30 – 45k DOE
