Last Friday we hosted the first of our CPD training sessions for clients and contacts, taking place in York. It was well attended by head teachers and associated maintenance personnel from local schools and council buildings.

The subject for Friday was “Emergency Lighting” and the regulations associated with the installation and maintenance of it. It not only gave the attendees an update on emergency lighting legislation, but it also gave them the opportunity to clarify their understanding and to discuss specific situations at their own sites – something which they fed back as being extremely useful.

After each of our CPD and/or training sessions we also publish a summary of the key points as something our attendees can keep for reference, so our technical team is busy writing that up as we speak.

This particular training wasn’t CPD registered (requested as just a general information update) but future courses will be, so each attendee will receive a CPD certificate and a presentation pack with accompanying notes.

When asked for feedback, Alan Robinson at York County Council said:

On talking to the people who attended they all thought it was a brilliant presentation as it also included solutions to problems they may have, along with the friendliness of Ben who was so helpful and positive for going forward.
